Buckner HeavyLift Cranes is proud to be an official Workforce Ambassador for Lift & Move USA! This is an organization whose purpose is to promote industry awareness and provide resources for companies, students, educators, and parents. 

Lift & Move USA’s website states the following: “Crane, rigging and specialized transportation companies rely on people with technical skills. Predictions indicate a Craft Labor Shortage of 1.9 MIL by 2025. It’s time for companies to build awareness and build their future workforce.  The SC&RF research study “The State of the Workforce in Crane, Rigging, and Specialized Transportation” will be released in May 2023.”

As a part of the initiative to raise awareness, Buckner finds it a priority to do the same. This includes an internship program that Buckner offers in various departments across the company.

We are excited to have join us an IT intern join us this Summer. Please help us welcome Nehemiah, a rising senior Computer Science major at UNC. Nehemiah is excited to learn more about how a construction company uses and manages technology resources while working and growing with the team at Buckner. He has always enjoyed building things and has experience working in construction along with an interest in cranes. The opportunity to intern at Buckner was right up his alley!
